At The Ancient Factory, we take great pride in the craftsmanship and quality of our handloom products. Each item is carefully handmade by skilled artisans using traditional techniques. As a result, slight variations are natural and reflect the authenticity of our handmade goods.
However, we understand that issues may occasionally arise. Please read our return and refund policy carefully.
1. Eligibility for Returns
We accept returns or exchanges only under the following conditions:
- You received a damaged, defective, or wrong product.
- The issue is reported to us within 48 hours of delivery.
To initiate a return, please email us at info@theancientfactory.com with:
- Order ID
- Clear images of the product and packaging
- Description of the issue
2. Non-Returnable Items
We do not accept returns in the following cases:
- Minor variations in color, texture, or weave (these are characteristics of handcrafted products)
- Products that have been used, washed, or altered
- Products purchased during sales, discounts, or promotional offers
- Custom or made-to-order items
3. Return Process
If your return request is approved:
- You will be provided with return instructions.
- The product must be returned in unused condition, with original tags and packaging intact.
- Returns must be shipped within 5 days of approval.
Note: Return shipping costs will be borne by the customer unless the error was on our part (e.g., wrong or damaged item sent).
4. Refunds
Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will:
- Notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund
- If approved, process your refund within 5–7 business days
Refunds will be made to the original method of payment. In case of COD orders, refunds will be processed via UPI or bank transfer (customer will be required to share details).
5. Exchanges
We offer exchanges only for:
- Defective or incorrect items
- Size or variant issues (based on availability)
Please note: Exchange requests must follow the same 48-hour notification rule.
6. Cancellations
Orders can be canceled only within 12 hours of placing the order, provided they haven’t been processed or shipped. To cancel, email us at info@theancientfactory.com as soon as possible.
7. Damaged or Lost Packages
If your order arrives visibly damaged or goes missing in transit:
- Contact us immediately with photos of the packaging and item
- We will investigate with the courier partner and assist with a resolution
